|Bunny and the moon, Indigo dyed cotton|
This time of year I am trying hard to prepare for the handknitters guild show on at the Coburg Town hall on the 28th of May as well as blending and dyeing tops and fibres , so there is a lot of spinning til the early hours of the morning and of course dyeing heaps of lace weight, sock weight and 8 ply yarns. I thought it would be appropriate for this time of the year with Easter coming up and all , to have some extreme fluff on offer I have been working on. So all of you who cannot make it to the Handknitters guild can still get their hands on some super special yarns that will not be available anywhere else!
Apart from being ever busy with the fluff and fibre, my personal life has been going through a bit of turmoil: Been sick as a dog with what I thought was a huge migraine, which made me bedridden for a day and woozy as hell for the rest of the week, but I am slowly but surely recovering.
Just a little bit of downtime means a LOT of getting behind when you make everything by hand though. Which of course means (well at least for me ..lol) added stress…I am trying hard not to let it get to me and that everything will be fine: I cannot go faster than I possibly can so what ever I get done will just have to do. Not that easy…beating my head against the wall wasn’t working to make my migraine any better either…lol
If you hadn’t noticed, I am a passionate workaholic with a tendency to get extremely upset if there are things going on that are not fair, inhumane or downright cruel. This week has ticked all the boxes, which , again, didn’t help the hurt my head was feeling either: the political nincumpoops, the US situation with “he who shall not be named” and on a more personal front a call from my vet saying there were heaps of bunny deaths from a new strain of calici in our neck of the woods AND , to top it off, this morning one of chooks, our sweet Fluffy bun, got abducted and killed by a fox. I’m upset. and now.., busy trying to get this blog up and running..yes..you guessed it...the power went off.. LOL.... Thank heavens for my warped sense of humour...so I am hoping to have this blog finished tethering it to my mobile and keeping everything crossed that at least Telstra will keep giving us the connection I need to get this much needed update on the web..lol.
