Bionic Bunny Strikes Again

a Hoppy Bunny letterbox

Yes I did it again…Bionic Bunny me, thought it would be a great idea to put a new letterbox in to replace the super old one that was falling apart. I was on a mission and the plan was in place to surprise Paul (and myself) and you know, when I have a plan and idea in my head, it takes an army to hold me back.
I felt super energized; I knew I had to take it easy, not lift a lot or do anything physically challenging, but I thought: “Hey! I can do it little bits at a time and get it done”..and I did!
Paul was going away on his footy trip, I’d start as soon as he left the drive way  and then it was in place when he got back. To top it off the weather was amazing. No holding me back !
Unfortunately for me two things happened :

Nr 1 : When I got started I could not stop and was my old energizer bunny self ; it was done in no time (about an hour and a half), except me putting the kangaroo paw plant in next to the letterbox and the bunny embellishments and a bit more gravel; And just when I turned my back, thinking “I need to get the rake  now before I tackle the planting” this happens:

Nr 2 : I hear a recognizable engine, a van pulling up and starting to reverse into the drive , stopping, door opens and Paul comes running passed me yelling “ I had to think of two things!! My clothes and my Footy Premiership medal !!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaargh !"   I doubt he saw the letterbox at that time..lol he ran back to the car wearing his medal and before he screeched off he said “Nice letterbox! You overdid it again ! ” and off he drove again to meet up with his footy mates for a  weekend of celebration.

I wish I had time to record it all, but it was done before I could blink and honestly, I was laughing the whole time I doubt I could have kept the camera still…lol

Anyway, of course he was right : I overdid it again! Yet again! But I stood there, looked at the bunny installation when it was done an hour later and said to myself “I am sore and exhausted but in a good way!” and smiled.
I had been exhausted and depressed because if it, for over 5 years; This was a happy exhaustion. I was feeling great! Tired, but great and I could not stop smiling. What more can you want?

I took it real easy after that and today I was a bit sore and tired, but I’m still smiling. I know for a lot of people this probably doesn’t make any sense nor does it seem logical to do this kind of thing a month after a heart operation, but I was not entirely stupid lifting super heavy stuff. I am finally getting my self back, slowly but surely and that my friends, is awesome ! Balance is again not my best feature… but I keep working on it..lol

The black and coloured sheep show is coming up very very soon and I am continuing to spin as many yarns as I can. More on that next week !

Today I wanted to share a new blend I have prepared : a special white, grey and black Merino together with tencel and it looks out of this world. I love it when you overdye greys and blacks because it just gives so much depth to the colours and of course with the Tencel being a plant based fibre it takes the dye totally different. To spin these is amazing and so much fun !

Please don't hesitate to contact me at any time if you have any questions okay? Always happy to enable.
Don’t forget there are only less than 2 weeks left to sign up for the clubs starting in October!!!!
All my contact details are to be found at the end of this week’s blog entry. Have fun !!!

Two organically grown superior green tea leaves and a jasmine bud are plucked from the best quality tea bushes and mixed with delicately smelling jasmine blossoms, then sieved and hand rolled on bamboo trays, into small balls while the leaves are not quite dry.

The leaf captures the fine jasmine aroma and releases it during brewing, giving a champagne coloured cup.

 4 pearls/cup,

you can reinfuse 3-4 times so those 4 pearls last a looong time
