Fluffy Ticket to Happiness

Happy Friday again to everybody ! It’s Friday the 27th and a day before the big Yarn & Craft Show at the Coburg town hall, organized by the Handknitters and crochet Guild Victoria. If you thought my life and surroundings were utter chaos, filled with fluff and yarns all over the place, THE DAY BEFORE SHOW DAY is exponentially worse. So many things to organize and pack and yes, still label…lol and in my mind I still have so much I want to do!!!! It’s mayhem …lol and in the middle of it all I suddenly realized it is a Friday ! Update day ! 

My head is about to explode and I don’t know what to do first. And still my mind keeps telling me: wouldn’t it be nice to have another rare breed handspun yarn at the show. Logically, the other side of my brain yells out: I WANT TO BUT I CAN’T!!! lol it’s a constant struggle between logic and creativity in my head. It’s a wonder why I am not getting splitting head aches and full blown panic attacks with my evil brain telling me over and over again: “ YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH !!!!” Look, I tell myself, I have never ever sold out, Chances are about eh say 98%, I will have enough of one thing and not enough of the other and there’s a 100% probability that I will not sell out ! So, Calm down”.

I don’t know about you, but I constantly give myself a hard time. 

Honestly, I am the worst boss you can think of: I don’t pay myself, I make myself work all the time (except when going to the hairdressers once a year or doctors..lol), I cannot remember when I had a weekend off although I cherish the holiday of a week we had three years ago to the Barrier reef. The first holiday of a week I had in eh…15 years…lol 

 Work-Life balance has totally gone out of the window in this house and it is all my fault. Not a pretty picture really to confront yourself with, but hey, not a time to feel guilty about it either because that does not help in any way shape or form. Least of all myself. 

I am a sucker for punishment it seems so I am coming clean. I am outing myself to all of you, my friends (and whoever else is secretly reading this blog ..lol) : I am a work a holic, totally result and project fixated and here’s the thing, hardly giving any attention to myself. 

Even worse: if there is a problem (physical or mental) I tend to collect it and compress it into a little ball and stuff it under the carpet, hiding it. Well, all those little compressed balls have managed to trip me up pretty bad this year, because the more of those things you hide under the carpet, the bigger the chances are that you will trip and fall over the ever growing heap of those little bastards. As did I. 

So, to all of you who are going to join me in going to the fabulous Yarn and Craft Show tomorrow and Sunday: This is my last show of the year. NO, I am not going to be at the Bendigo Show in July or the Black and Coloured show in September. 

I have to get rid of all those compressed little bastards under the carpet first: meaning : My body and my heart are falling apart, my brain is failing me and I will not even mention my teeth, which have been so traumatized by the cancer treatments and other fab stuff, they have had enough. 

Give me a choice and a bit of a push, you can probably convince me to keep working all the time and very hard at that, to forget all about that physical body stuff and get on with the show. I could. But chances are that I will probably only last another year at most. Therefore I have made the extremely hard decision to make the show this weekend my last show. 

I know I am letting people down, but I will still be here at least…lol..and I hope for a longer time than I would otherwise…fingers crossed. 

I will keep doing my weekly blogs and clubs OFCOURSE and there are some pretty exciting things behind the scenes here going on (BUT I DON’T WANT TO JINX IT SO SHHHHHHH…lol).

For this update : Freshly Blended Merino Cashmere Silk Tops !!!

This fibre is so luscious you would like to put it on your bed or in a bath tub and roll in it naked. Really ! I am not kidding. Just so you know: I have not rolled in it myself naked or otherwise, your fibre will be posted out to you in its virginal state: freshly blended, rolled up nicely in a little bump and undyed. Normally these tops are $25 per 100 grams but today I am going to offer you 500+ grams for $100. That is basically a 100grams totally free !
