It's Friday .again ! Who knew? It seems to fly by at 5x the speed of light. I wish yesterday was here so I could manage more stuff but unfortunately time travel has not been invented yet and, to tell you the truth, if it was at all possible to time travel so I could do more it would most likely kill me. I dyed about 10 kilos of yarn and kilos and kilos of fibres not to mention carding the Valais Blacknose adventure which was another 10 kilos. I think that's one of the reasons I felt a bit "off colour" today, although saying that, I am never really "off Colour" ; I'm always Immersed in colour. You should actually see my dye studio which now after loads of speckle and splash parties (oops that somehow sounds weird..LOL) resembles the room where Jackson Pollock painted.

The launch Party last week went so astronomically well that I sold out and had to dye another 2 kilos extra for custom orders! So I did not stop and have some more for you all to snaffle. I love working with this yarn: it is smoochy, super soft and is very colour hungry. Dyeing the speckled yarnd and coming up with the colour combinations is the most invigorating thing ever: Colour does make you happy. The strange thing is nowadays that I was never a really pink girl, but now I cannot get it out of my mind or out of my hair colour..lol So there ya go: colour preferences and tastes do change over time. I also have dyed up some extra special Bunny Bison Bliss tops for those of you who love spinning your own yarn. I do not have a whole lot of thise blended up because the Valais Blacknose carding and batting up took a lot of my time this week. Healesville Spinners and Weavers Guild AGM and talk and shop (it is a general meeting and after 12am I will give a talk and there will be fluff for sale. It will be just me there though: not a spin in as such. So Please contact the Healesville spinners and bring a plate to celebrate !)

Please join me with the Healesville Spinners and Weavers on Saturday for their annual meeting and celebration.
I will be doing a talk about the IxCHeLbunny farm, fibres and yarns and lots more !!! There will be fibres to cuddle (and buy) and also spindles of all shapes and sizes.

The event is open to all but everybody is asked to bring a plate of food to share with the others to make it even more fun. The Hall opens at 11am with a group meeting and my talk will start around 12. After the talk there will be ample opportunity to browse, shop and mingle.

Happy Friday !!! and what a friday it is! Queensland and part of New South Wales are in the aftermath of cyclone Debbie ! Wind , lots of water and destruction. My heart goes out to all who are living through it at the moment. We have seem to escape inundation and winds for once and lucky for us there are never really any cyclones around these parts. Fingers crossed ....

It was a bit hard getting all the yarns dry I dyed this week for todays HUGE LAUNCH PARTY, because all of a sudden the temps plummeted and we had some wet air. With a bit of drying near the fire at the last minute all went well and here it is ! A new Sock yarn blend: a collaboration with the Bendigo Woollen Mills who were happy to work with my wishes of a particular sock blend style, feel and blend. Here it is! A sock yarn that is super soft, australian merino, silk and a bit of nylon for strength with a nice meterage of 410 meters per 100 grams! It was very important to me that this yarn was all spun in Australia from Australian Merino.
