FLUFF for a CURE !

the Angora Bunny MoBeau who gladly donated his hair to the World record scarf and now already has a months new growth of fluffy angora bunny hair ! 

The Fluff for a Cure Cancer Council webpage is live ! yeah! Finally the event is on its way and ready to accept all donations, big or small to help the Cancer Council. The person who donates the most money will receive the world record Angora bunny scarf made at the Sydney Royal Show in 2 hours 26 minutes and 55 seconds , by clipping 4 bunnies and then spinning and knitting their fibre in the shortest possible time. A team of 6 people were involved in this whole Back to Back Bunny event, Emma Brien, Siobhann Colley, Sheridan Femia, Christina Heaphy , Louise Stephens and me. Here are some photos of the awesome scarf that weight about 193grams and is 3.6 meters long ! yes, three hundred and sixty centimers !!!! Now that is a lot of bunny to wrap around you !

The Handknitters guild Victoria Mini Wool Show was a huge success and a lot of fun on the Saturday the 28th of April!!! And there was a big chance for all of you who visited and spent over a certain amount of money at my fluffy stall, to win a very exciting prize : a $200 fibre and yarn pack !!

This morning our Bunny Bear helped to pick the lucky winner, by jumping on the chair where the winning ticket was lying  ( yes, bear now jumps and sits on chairs and yes, it took about 3 hours of careful watching and non coaching!  to see which chair he jumped on ...lol....Chair jumping, is  his  autumn/winter pass time it seems, so I thought it was fitting to let him choose the winner!)

All proceeds will be donated to the Fluff for a Cure Fundraising event. Even when you cannot make it please check it out on line and donate what you can for a good cause !

We feel it is very important to get the word out . Angora fibre and cashmere and mohair and alpaca and baby camel is amazing to spin, felt, weave, embellish and crochet with! Start planning and working on your entry for the show and get your art work out there for everybody tot admire and win prizes !! yeah ! What could be better eh?
