 This sure has been a hectic week! Normally I have a bit of respite after the Bendigo Show to put new blends together and think of new patterns, spin and knit and weave new ideas. It’s my super creative period of the year and a bit of relaxation… well, it sure has not happened this year! It has been full on with so many orders and new exciting stuff happening, I hardly had time to breathe!

This week alone lots of custom orders were dyed, new blends made, new blend ideas hatched and heaps of clipping done , to get a lot of fluffy stuff ready for the black n coloured sheep show at the end of September. On top of that I woke up one morning to find the freezer and fridge had totally defrosted and standing in a pool of water. It obviously had an identity crisis and wanted to be a heater instead of a fidge/freezer. All my frozen foods and ICECREAM was gone, spoilt …..a luxury disaster ..I know, but still totally frustrating. Anyway, enough about that,, I am still without fridge/freezer but thankfully the repairman said he’s come today to fix it and it hasn’t been 30Celsius here so at least my cheese and milk are safe for the time being.. It’s pretty annoying though..grrrrr…especially since it is a new fridge/freezer! Double grumble.

I have been very very busy, preparing new fibres for you and the race is on to get heaps of new stuff ready and dyed for the show at the end of the month again: It is going to be HUGE!!!!

 

Now for the positively amazing new stuff: a new IxCHeL blend is ready this week and I have called “fairytale”…why? Because it is…dreamy and wonderful to spin: it’s a 15micron merino top blended with angora and bamboo. I have two colourways at the moment but more will follow later: these two first fairytale colours are Wonderful wizard of Oz and …Sleeping beauty. It is an absolute dream to spin, super soft and easy to draft !

I also finished making more bunny bison bliss tops so they are on offer this week aas well and !!! if you like some bling and silk I have some very pretty fluff for you this week! One is a glitz in rainbow which works so well when making rollags on your blending board or making batts and the other is pulled silk tops in a vibrant pink/red with heaps of vibrant colours tucked into it even gold threads. You can spin it on its own or again, work little bits and pieces into your rollags or batts or even spin it on its own: it is super silky soft and easy to spin. It is very airy too and will give your yarn a nice textured art yarn look that is out of this world !
