Ashes to Ashes

What a week it has been !! Started off with the announcement David Bowie passed away and just today another one of my heroes and all round awesome actor and nice human being, Alan Rickman.  

I have been listening to songs from Bowie songs and revisited some concerts I have been lucky to see. Whether you like his music or not, the fact is that he did make a huge impact on a lot of people. At this moment I am a bit lost for words...(yes it does happen..lol) 
Somehow we all thought that he would just go on forever and let’s face it, 69 is not that old! I guess it’s the shock of being human that we tend to forget that people who are part of our life or our growing up, will just be there forever. The older we get, the more we get that “truth” crushed because , well, let’s face it, nobody lives forever. It’s that sudden shock to the system that is –and should be- an energy boost to make the best of every day and every minute we are alive. Never put things off, never say “tomorrow I will do that” , do it now! No excuses. Make life an adventure and have fun !

I certainly haven’t been quiet this week..lol…music on high volume and dyeing all kinds of fluffy fibres and yarns. I must say it was a bit challenging on the 42C degree day (about 110F) when I told myself “If I stand here surrounded by pots and hot water another minute longer, I will turn into one big puddle”….lol

Don’t worry, I haven’t become a puddle, the weather the day after in Victoria was only half of what it was on that super hot day and believe it or not, I have a cardigan on now , shivering…I tell you, weather in Victoria is totally bipolar; four seasons in one day is not an exaggeration!

So without keeping you pining longer for the update , here it is !

For this weeks update I have blended together a nice fluffy mix of Cashmere Fling Tops and IxCHeL Sock Yarn !

Victorian Hand Knitters Guild Show Coburg Town Hall

As well as some amazing Lair of the Bearded Dragon spindles and bowls that are pure magic to spin on !
