Magic and more

Last week has flashed by..not flown…it was gone in the blink of an eye. At least that’s what it felt like for me…I managed to dye about 30 kilos just for all the clubs and the adventures and then , for good measure, an added couple for custom orders and this update. My timing was excellent becauyse the sun was out, we had no rain and the conditions were perfect for getting my dyepots going with woad and indigo and other natural dye pigments. It was magic. At the same time though my days quickly turned into nights and the nights quickly turned into dawn…I had a week of 4am let’s go to bed now then and up again to keep going. Natural dyeing and prepping everything does take time. If you do not take the time to let it steep and cure and mature, the magic will not happen. Some things just cannot be rushed.

So, for tonight I have a few extra special natural dye yarns on offer , all handdyed here at the farm and spun in Victoria especially for me and I could not be happier how the yarn has turned out. I am working on new very special yarns to come as well ! Bot in 4 and 8 ply and maybe, just maybe, even small batches of rare sheep breed blend yarns : it is all happening but as always with everything sustainable and in the way of “slow fashion” it is not something that can be finalized over night so bear with me. Your patience will be rewarded : more magical things will be happening. For now there are some very special woad dyed combos on offer as well as a gorgeous spring combo dyed with dyer’s chamomile and pear tree bark !

Enjoy looking and have a fun weekend !
