Another whirlwind of a week ! All the January clubs have been labelled, packed and shipped off on Tuesday, The orders went the day before and immediately I was back into dyeing mode with this update, custom orders and spinning and it was also bunny hairclip time so yeah, I was pretty ..eh..let’s say… energizer bunny..not only because of the workload but also because of some other ..let’s just call it “negativity stuff from the periphery” blurring reality.

I am still trying to get a grip on why ( or rather "what??!")   but I can tell you something that really helped me relax: after going to the post office to ship the gazillion parcels for the clubs, for the first time since we moved here (over 10 year ago now !!!) we visited the Blue Lotus Garden nursery and garden in Yarra Junction. http://www.bluelotusfarm.com.au/ We walked around, looked at all the gorgeous plants and yes, I saw a bunny ! (how could I not? I see bunnies everywhere..lol) and I felt so relaxed ! I am definitely going back there at least once a week to calm down and ..to paint and draw. What an inspiration !

BUt yeah, It is not easy to relax, but it helps not being so negative and instead immersing yourself with things you love doing! It makes such a difference to see the good rather than the bad things, although , I have to say, it’s a tough one sometimes..lol
 But, in the end, it makes a difference when you do anything, whether it be knitting or spinning or doing anything really! When you feel happy, your spinning or knitting will look different than when you are totally stressed out. Also, when you start knitting or spinning and you are not feeling well, how many of you have found that after a while you are starting to relax and you see that it makes a difference in your spinning or knitting? I would love to know!
This weekend I am dyeing the February clubs and it is going to be a lot of work getting the pigments just right ! here is the inspiration for the February Clubs: not a painting this time but the most amazing tapestry collection today: the Lady and the Unicorn ! The photo is the Tapestry with the Lady and the Unicorn “Sight”. Please read the mesmerizing novel by Tracey Chevalier about the Lady and the Unicorn, if you want to delve deeper into the history behind these beautiful pieces of work.
