Knitting up Sunshine |
Again, I cannot thank all of you enough for all the beautiful messages and well wishes. I still have no news on the date of my heart operation. It’s a bit stressful so close to the event of the year for me and very important for our little fibre farm but hey, c’est la vie and I try not to stress or dwell on it. In the meantime I try to get as much dyed as I can which is a pittance compared to the tens and tens of kilos and kilos I used to be able to manage before falling down in a heap. I am more emotional about this than I let on here and expletives are used and tears are shed. I keep on swimming and doing as much as I can though !
There are some pretty exciting things, positive fluffy things happening at the moment though and it I something I have been organizing for the last 3 years ! THREE YEARS! It involved a lot of teamwork and investment but it all will be ready and available at the time of the Bendigo Show and I will let you know here on my blog as well : Vicuna ! !!!!!! yes! You heard it right : my very own Vicuna blend. It has been a long time since the last one but, like all good things in life, they take a lot of time . Much more on this in later blogs.
The tweed yarns have been a wonderful fountain of happiness for me. Especially because a lot of you are sharing wonderful photos of what they are creating! Here is one to share form the amazing Emma Bowe who is crocheting Kingfisher tweed and Kangaroo paw with her amazing handmade Snakewood 4mm crochet hook from Furls Crochet!
In the meantime I have been busy doing more tweed yarns and NEW tweed colours !!!! One that is so happy it is like knitting with Sunshine: Wattle. Here are some photos :
Another one that is the best red I have seen ever: Kata Tjuta. Here are some photos:
The last of the three new colours in the IxCHel tweed is a bright purple : Amethyst with amazing flecks of bright red which makes it amazing to pair off with Kata Tjuta ! here are some photos:
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any requests: always happy to enable. Also: The club sign ups for the next round starting in July are still open. So, if you would like to join, email or pm me and I will send you all the details. Also, there are a few of the tweed yarns still available and more colours! message me if you want to go on a tweed adventure ! Always happy to enable. All my contact details are to be found at the end of this week’s blog entry. Have fun !!!

IxCHeL Buddhas tears tea
carefully packed and presented in a special organza gift bag
50g/ AU$19
Two organically grown superior green tea leaves and a jasmine bud are plucked from the best quality tea bushes and mixed with delicately smelling jasmine blossoms, then sieved and hand rolled on bamboo trays, into small balls while the leaves are not quite dry.
The leaf captures the fine jasmine aroma and releases it during brewing, giving a champagne coloured cup.
Brewing: 1-3 minutes 75-80degC ,
4 pearls/cup,
you can reinfuse 3-4 times so those 4 pearls last a looong time
Carefully handrolled tea
Enjoy the tea over and over again, by adding hot water again and again
