It's all about Bling !

Persistence of Memory parody by the Simpsons
( the original artwork Persistence of memory by Salvador Dali
is the October inspiration of the clubs btw ! )

Days here have been filled with blending, carding and dyeing all the October clubs. It has been so totally full on I am absolutely and hopelessly behind doin the INKTOBER challenge of drawing and inking everyt day since last weekend…. I will catch up ! I am determined to catch up before the end of October1 Wish me luck ! lol.

Doing the fibre, yarn and batt clubs involves a lot of effort: for one you have to do it consistently every month (I have been doing mine since 2008! That just gives me shivers because that means that I have not messed up, or missed one, even when I was going through some major issues like cancer and heart failure stuff, which just goes to show how absolutely determinably stupid I am ..lol); second: I want to have every club member have an absolutely amazing time every month, opening their parcel and seeing something new, surprising, informative and all in all nice. Coming up with that each and every single month for ten years has been amazing and invigorating. Some would say exhausting but I am determined to keep that word out of my vocabulary as much as I possibly can.
Next Monday all the October Clubs will be ready to ship and teasers will be posted soon after. This month it’s all about the Persistence of memory a work by Dali, painted in 1931 : I am sure the imagery of melted clocks and time sounds very familiar. It is so much fun delving into all the amazing paintings out there and their imagery and finding ways to translate the imagery on the canvas to the colours on fibre.

It is going to be a long weekend trying to get all the Batt Clubs finished and then it is immediately on to getting all the November and December clubs ready ! with all the blog updates and the Christmas surprises I am planning in between. I cannot believe we have already entered into the last three months of 2019! Talk about a fast moving year !!!!!

I also hope to get a lot of rare sheep breed adventures lined up again for next year, so keep an eye out for news on that front ! Lots to be done so I better get back to it !

For tonight's update I have a very sparkly blend I love: Rapunzel with gold bling and super softness.

IxCHeL Buddhas tears tea

carefully packed and presented in a special organza gift bag

50g/ AU$19

Two organically grown superior green tea leaves and a jasmine bud are plucked from the best quality tea bushes and mixed with delicately smelling jasmine blossoms, then sieved and hand rolled on bamboo trays, into small balls while the leaves are not quite dry.

The leaf captures the fine jasmine aroma and releases it during brewing, giving a champagne coloured cup.

 Brewing: 1-3 minutes 75-80degC ,

 4 pearls/cup,

you can reinfuse 3-4 times so those 4 pearls last a looong time

Carefully handrolled tea

Enjoy the tea over and over again, by adding hot water again and again
