The Revolution of Creativity..Je suis Charlie

It flew by..this first week of January! I have been asked to participate in the Elemental Festival Tomorrow and Sunday at the Deloraine Homestead in Gladysdale, so todays update will be a quicky…lol

There is a lot going on at the moment with new Rare Sheep breed adventures taking shape !!(sign ups will start next week for the first adventure of 2015!! So keep your eyes peeled it is going to be a whopper !) and ofcourse with all the clubs preparations..it is huge! So a lot of things to organise, prep and dye, which is a good thing because Jazz is still sorely missed and it helps to have a very heavy workload to keep my mind off the hard things.
Not that with my kind of brain I was allowed to…on January 8th I was catapulted straight back into “oh NO!” – mode with the vicious and outrageous attack on all of humanity itself: twelve innocent people killed in an attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris, a satirical weekly magazine filled with criticism of society in all its aspects, including power, religion and much much more.

I believe in freedom of speech. I believe that the only thing we can do to change things for the better is to speak out , speak our minds, write that book or draw or paint that image to make it clear to people around us what sometimes lies hidden from sight and only takes a different perspective to see.

When we , as a people, start to censure, to abolish, to take away that freedom either by “law” or by sheer acts of bloody violence, it makes it all too clear that we have to speak out and never ever be silenced by fear.
It has happened before (remember WWII)  that perfectly good people became a victim of the silence of others. Let’s keep freedom in our hearts and minds; let’s speak out for those who cannot, let’s draw images that will open our minds and hearts; let’s never forget that freedom creates progress ; Fear creates nothing….Je suis Charlie…Let’s start a revolution of Logic, Compassion and Art..all in a non violent way ofcourse..holding our creative minds high ..holding our pens and spindles and knitting needles up high and saying : Freedom from violence! Freedom of Speech! Freedom to Create! Freedom to Love ! and the world would be a much more nicer (and fluffier ) place to live in.

Now, I won’t keep you waiting for this quicky update for too long…lol Have a fun snaffle and maybe I will see you this weekend at the Elemental Festival in Gladysdale !
