The best way to describe the Handknitters guild show last Sunday is surely

“Enormously busy, overwhelming fibery and yarny enthusiasm!” 

I have been at the yearly handknitters guild show now for years and years, over three different venues and I think this year it has absolutely topped all expectations of anybody who was there: there were loads of vendors with all different type of yarns and fibery goodies, books, garments, buttons, spinning wheels and much much more!

I am extremely proud to be part of this yearly event that is so very well organised by the handknitters guild. A very special thanks goes out to  everybody of the Handknitters guild who worked so hard to make this event a super success !
Thank you also to all who visited us and showed their amazing support! I was and still am, totally overwhelmed by all the love and support shown to both me and my spindle making Dragon, Paul.
 A special thanks to Wil who gave us the most amazing baked brie in the world !!! and to Raelene with her fabulous handmade soaps and the person who gave me some very yummy chocolate eyeballs (forgive my muddled brain for not remembering your name ! Slap me next time you see me willya? !) And to so many others who were just as enthusiastic cuddling all the yarns and fibres as I was , preparing and dyeing them.  Our little fibre farm only exists because of your amazing support: Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!

Ofcourse, something that seems to happen every year as soon as a big event where lots of work was involved is over, my brain goes “I can relax for a teeny tiny bit (=a day, which meant unpacking instead of dyeing..lol) And ..presto!: I get a soar throat and a flu. Boo! Boo! I say !! be gone ye ! Because, no matter how you look at it, there is no time to stay in bed and recover, there are clubs to dye, custom orders to do and , last but not least, Bendigo Show to prepare for !
This is the time of year that I totally do not need a flu. Alas, the flu has no mercy.. and I have to ride it out and kick it out of my system as soon as I possibly can. So, I do still work, be it at a much slower pace than usual. Oh well, no use beating myself up about it…lol….do what I can do and not stress is the ticket.

So rugged up in my rainbow shawl I am typing this blog at the moment , sipping a nice tea with lots of honey and keeping warm. I did prepare some nice fibres for this weeks update for you : DIVA tops !!! yes, Diva tops with their amazing bling and super softness ! The DIVA blend is amazing to spin and wear and that little bit of extra glitz, blended into the tops just gives it that little bit extra magic and you'll be a DIVA wearing it !

I won’t keep you any longer, or rather, I won’t spend much more time babbling on..I have fibre , batt and sock clubs to paint up. This month is going to be sent out next week. The next round of all the IxCHeL clubs starts in July, so if you have not renewed or joined (but you want to!) this is the time to do it. Especially the Batt club is filling up fast! All the details for joining the clubs are to be found below.

Again, I do not have a lot of stock of this blend. Do not wait too long to pounce on this week’s update, all inspired by the new Alice Through the Looking Glass Movie out this week (which I am very excited to go see, hopefully very soon)
