Time for some Gothic Bunnies and Lace

First of all a big thank you to all of you who emailed, texted and messaged me with amazing words of encouragement, love and understanding of my "State of Mind".
You have put a huge smile on my face and have really made a difference. It may have been difficult to admit I was struggling (and still am a bit but definitely halfway out of the pit of despair) but it just goes to show how immensely important it is to go out and say how you feel and what is going on in ones life when you don’t feel right. Too many people are struggling with depression or loss and feel that society expects them to deal with these huge issues on their own: This is not true. It may take a bit of courage to step out of ones comfort zone and admit something is not right, but when you do, it is the first step towards getting better and healing.
So, I want to say a big huge thank you to all of you for listening and putting up with me. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

This last week was filled with dyeing and skeining and packing and getting things ready for the Black n Coloured sheep show in Cranbourne on Sunday. There are still a lot of things to do of course, but only so much that I can do and at this moment I am not the speediest of bunies , believe it or not..lol
The weather is not playing nice so drying of fibres and yarns are a bit iffy, but I will try and do my best to get as much ready as possible..
There is a new blend on offer this week: Black bunny. This is one that I wanted to get ready way earlier but it is just so impossible to get true deep black, but I am pretty pleased with how te blend and the colour has come out. More of this type of blend will be coming soon! Black Bunny tops will always have a bit of a Gothic/ Medieval streak going through it so the blending has to be just right. I need a bit more time to get that it the way I am happy with it, but it won’t be long til you see more black bunny tops hitting the blog..

Then I have some of our cashmerino laceweight yarn which is totally homegrown and processed in Australia. It is an amazingly soft yarn with an awesome meterage (1200meters per 100g). I Have dyed a collection of colours in this yarn that go so well together and are all dyed with natural dyed. I think this palet of colours combines so well and are so winter 2016.  If you like other colours for your project I can dye them for you in any colour or colour combination you like. It is a great yarn to knit or crochet with and weave with as well ! It is a 20/2 weight (so the weavers amongst us know what I am talking about) and it is feltable, meaning you can combine in it your warp or weft with silk and create the most amazing textural fabric you can imagine because the silk doesnt shrink but the cashmerino laceweight yarn will. Of course you can knit with it as well and it creates the most stuning garments: it has been used in the past to create a wedding dress, lots and lots of shawls and so much more! Have a feel when you are at the Black n Coloured Sheep show this Sunday: I will have some with me.
