Rainbows

I’ll start with the hard part: Babette, our dear fluffy bunny, has crossed the rainbow bridge on Thursday. She was 8 years old, super healthy and fine one minute and gone the next. No reason… I am of course devastated because, although you are not supposed to have favourite “kids” , she was my favourite. She even had a visit with her Auntie Fiona in the city a bit more than a week ago and enjoyed the whole trip massively. We will miss you very much little fluffy one.

I haven’t really stopped crying, which , again I should not do, so I look like an absolute nightmare with eyes that are so puffy I wouldn’t need any make up to scare the living day lights out of anybody – too bad Halloween is over..lol

In the meantime, I worked hard to get all the clubs done early this month. All the November fibre, yarn and batt clubs have been shipped out to all the members on Wednesday ! Better start stalking your postie !  I have already put teaser photos up on instagram and facebook. The full colour photos will be posted on social media next week ! I am so excited to share those because I absolutely loved working with the blend and the colours , inspired by the artist Mark Ryden with his painting "Just the Girls".

So yeah, I’m rolling from one thing into the next with my usual flair and Paul told me to break the chain and take time off….or else. So I am going to ..next week I’m having a holiday and hopefully will be able to relax a bit and chill. Talking about chillin’…it has been raining and hailing almost non stop here for the last two days, the temperature has officially hit around 5 to 8Celsius but there is snow on the mountains here above 700meters. The wood fire is back on!    Happy Spring time everybody!

For tonight's update I have a new blend for you: 19 micron Merino, super soft Alpaca and Mulberry silk. It is a super soft blend that is very easy to spin and felt and wears beautifully. Also, the Sign ups for the IxCHeL Clubs Jan – March 2020 are open, there are three NEW colours of the Merino Silk tops AND there be tweed yarn as well !

Two organically grown superior green tea leaves and a jasmine bud are plucked from the best quality tea bushes and mixed with delicately smelling jasmine blossoms, then sieved and hand rolled on bamboo trays, into small balls while the leaves are not quite dry. 

The leaf captures the fine jasmine aroma and releases it during brewing, giving a champagne coloured cup. 

 Brewing: 1-3 minutes 75-80degC , 

 4 pearls/cup, 

you can reinfuse 3-4 times so those 4 pearls last a looong time
