Happy Little Trilobites and more fluff

Gotta love a happy little trilobite !

It has been a very busy week again..again…again…. souds like Groundhog day doesn’t it? Talking about Groundhog day….I have watched the movie “Map of Tiny perfect Things” and it is a great little movie if you are into wibbly wobbly timey wimey time shift , never ending day kind of movie with a twist. If you can , have a look! 

 Anyway, apart from watching that movie, I did a lot of reading while spinning custom orders. Yes, I can do two things at the same time. I have to admit that depending if it is a hard back or a soft cover, it can be a bit tricky to turn the pages while also juggling fibre and a speedy spinning wheel but it can be done ! lol 

 The books I finished this week are: “the Fossil Hunter” about Mary Anning by Shelley Emling and “remarkable Creatures” Tracy Chevalier plus I started “Weird Dinosaurs” by John Pickrell. 

You might say I am in a bit of a paleaontological mood at the moment ….lol 

 So yes, , spinning of custom orders continues, the November Clubs are all dyed and dry and I will finish the batts over the weekend, shipping all the November clubs on Monday. Immediately after I will be working on the December clubs because the silly season is happening and I need to get the December clubs out as soon as possible to get them delivered in time. 

 So much to do, so little time they say and that is not a joke…lol 

Talking  about jokes….power outage is happening again…last week we were out of power several days , then yesterday they did a planned outage and RIGHT NOW we are out of power again, so thank you AUSNET for going NETZERO…meaning zero power to anybody…lol the sooner we can get some kind of solar power situation with our own battery system happening here I will be super happy. For now, we rely on little batteries and a generator and some serious patience.

 
Oh yeah ! forgot to mention that again I went to the cardiologist to get my bionic heart checked and I got the “It is going great !” verdict ! yeah ! so that is a relief! Onwards!

 

Now, what have I got planned for you tonight? Lots of people have asked me to do some yarn again , especially DK / 8ply yarn . So, I have dyed 7 different colourways for tonights’ blog update on the fantastic Gaia DK yarn: a beautiful base of superfine grey and white , that will give you the most stunning effects when you dye it.

Also, I have opened up the sign ups for the next round of IxCHeL Art Journey Clubs . starting again in January ! You can find all the information below the Halloween offerings.

Shipping :  I am still working and mailing the parcels out fast as humanly possible :-) All orders received and paid for of the Friday updates, will be shipped first thing monday morning. We do daily post office runs (if necessary). The recent AusPost changes to parcel pickups from businesses therefore does not apply to us because WE deliver your parcel directly to our nearest AusPost hub.

Seeing that there are currently lots of Covid cases, especially in NSW ain VIC, there can be some AusPost sorting centres that do not have enough staff so there will be delays in getting the parcel to you. As soon as your parcel is shipped you will receive an automatic email from AusPost with the tracking number so you can see where your parcel is and the approximate ETA. 

Overseas deliveries are highly impacted by the very low amount of planes out of Australia t the moment and the very high pressure on AuPost. Please be patient during these pandemic times. We do our utmost to keep everything running smoothly on our end and if you have any questions: please do not hesitate to ask. Always happy to help!
