Going back a few weeks of blogging and every time I started with “Another busy week…”. Well, since today is July the first !, and there are SIX months of the year already gone past us at the speed of light, I thought I would NOT start with the obvious. Safe to say, I am always busy, chasing my tail. Mainly, because my brain thinks up about 10 fantastical creative , magical things before breakfast and my body and the time space continuum cannot possibly keep up. I am not giving up. I am still trying to get to that magical point that every time I think of something, moments later , it will materialize and happen. I live in Hope.

One of those magical things I wish that could happen almost immediately is my website. To tell you the truth, after saying for 16years or more “ The website is coming soon!” I finally managed to pull my finger out …..well, truth be told, if it wasn’t for my more methodical, “just get on with it” soul mate and Lair of the Bearded Dragon , together with his accomplice and my best girl friend Emma “Queen of all things website, craft and super organizer” I would not have even opened the door..again….lol But, here I am, writing all the words and doing stuff to get the website up and running in July. Truth be told I said not too long ago to have the IxCHeL website go LIVE on July 1st, so yeah, another deadline that I hear fantastically wooshing past me like so many other things…LOLOL but hey! At least it is getting CLOSE !!! very CLOSE!

I did, like I mentioned in a social media post to announce this update that I have been disappearing into the dye room. I had to. If you stick me behind a computer, writing code for too long I start to twitch and feel a supernatural being pulling at me to get up and CREATE something, DYE something , SPIN a yarn ! Spinning, dyeing, weaving , knitting, painting, creating something is my …eh….procrastination happy place. Some people might go “I hate the look of a white canvas, writers block, inspiration..” naaah not me, ask me to do something like a website and I will drag it into the 23rd century if I could…lololol

I guess it has something to do with sticking to what you know…I know absolutely NOTHING about website stuff, ask me to be methodical in HTML code ….my eyes go blank. Ask me to talk or write about spinning a yarn, writing music, painting, even chemistry and paleaontology or anthropology..I am RIGHT there with you and I can go on and on and on …no sleep needed. Ask me to do bookkeeping, accounting or organizing an online store and stock take..I am like a deer in headlights. I am persevering…under pressure I have to admit ….not only from my soulmate Paul together with my webguru Emma, but also, I have been telling more and more people that the website is really happening and coming in July. This time I did not make the mistake of saying “Website coming soon”, because, if you know me, “SOON” in plain astronomical terms can mean hundreds of years….rofl (

I hope this will make a difference: A deadline!!!!! It’s like studying for an exam: there’s a date, it has to be done by that date or else! THE PRESSURE !!!! but hey, maybe that is just what I need. Just get it done. So here I am, most days I am in the dye room and the nights I am working on the online shop. In the meantime I am also having to go to necessary medical appointments and treatments, but the whole “Being very Busy”-thing is actually helping in a certain way. 

Also, I have received lots of messages again with people asking me where they can find me at the Bendigo Show in July. I am so sorry to disappoint lots of people but I will NOT be at the Bendigo Show this year. I cannot be there because of all the physical stuff going on and I had to make a very hard decision. I will still be doing my blogs AND there will be the exciting OPENING of the IxCHeL online shop in July as well ! So still lots of exciting things happening !!!!

For this week’s blog update, I thought to start the second half of 2022, the first of July with….drumroll…..Cashmere Fling ! It has been a very long time since I have offered you this blend and it is because it has been extremely hard to get the ingredients during the pandemic. Perseverance is a good thing though and since I LOVE this blend I just HAD TO keep trying to get all the ingredients together. I am very happy to tell you this blend spins like butter…pure, absolute butter ! it is super soft, slinky, silky, cool to the touch, has a super drape and is absolutely amazing to wear ! Spinning it is amazing !

Just like so many this month I am super excited because the Tour de France has started !!!!!! and that means..yes, you guessed it: the Tour de FLeece !!! Every day spinning a yarn while watching super athletes on bicycles in the most magnificent French landscapes while spinning your yarn. Enjoy your Tour de Fleece !
