Second: I have just been informed of the passing of a very dear friend of mine so I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment to say the least,,and a bit late to post the blog. My sincere apologies to all but most of all.... Life is precious, you will always be close to my heart Dear Jan. Spindle long and laugh wherever you are, dear friend. Rest in Peace .







Now for the blog I had written before I got the news........

It’s very hard to give yourself away……to be open..to be out there ..to be you !.. not hide..not be afraid ..to be …to just be…be yourself..and not be afraid to be anything but yourself.

Maybe that’s the meaning of Life: be strong enough to just be yourself. All through our lives we have been asked to be so many different things: if you are a woman you have to fit the mold of playing with dolls, be a mother, care for others, care..if you are a male: be strong, play with cars, fight, provide, be there..you see. I do not see any difference: men , women...I wasn’t much good at just playing with dolls: I played with cars and dolls alike,, cared for animals, cared for people around me. I fought for my parents for others, for right..for justice, for life…..I am here.. I want to be here for everybody…and there you have it: BEING THERE ! Being there for others and for yourself THAT is what it is all about: however hard life is, always look at what is YOUR meaning of what is important! Do not let anybody push their truth upon you, you matter and your truth is not like theirs. Nor should it be. Smile and be you. It will make your heart beat faster and make you smile and the more you smile, the more you can help other people be strong enough to smile too. ….

Never think : I’m lonely” say to yourself “I am unique! One of a kind and be proud! I am not saying that kind of thinking is easy. Everybody wants to fit in, be part of a team, be a part of a group/identity…but then again..everybody is different..so why not celebrate our differences and still be part of something? It can be done, I am sure. Especially at this time of year when it is all about family or friends and we all HAVE TO be part of something.. there are countless people feeling ultimately alone and not part of anything. There are so many people feeling sad around this time of year : there should not be that kind of pain at all. The fact is that everybody is different, no matter what…we all feel the pressure of being pressed into deciding which box to choose to be part of. The problem arises when we cannot decide (or want) to choose any box we want to belong to. Yep. I know ! More than any of you can ever know now, I know how hard things can be….It has taken me a long long time to make life a lot easier: my “meaning of Life” so to speak” BE YOURSELF! Don’t care if you do not fit any mold..everybody is one of a kind! You can be a hybrid, a combination of so many wonderful things put together..that’s you ! Celebrate it and never be discouraged and ashamed.

Here’s a little test for you. Take a sheet of paper and a pen and write down…..point by point..what you KNOW you are. Just add everything you feel and there is no importance on anything..everything is as important as the other things you put on your list.

here is my list: Human being, caring, loving, creative, nurturing, colourful, loving, smiling, inventive, musical, sensual, dreaming, sexual, competitive, giving, original, understanding, demanding, bold, critical, physical, sensitive…and……………………………………………………………………………………………………………more…more…more…like an ever expanding universe…….
What does your “list” look like? Please make one and don’t care if it is ever expanding..or changing…it is you and more than that: it is also everybody elses…That is the amazing mystery because your list might just be the same as the person right beside you or the one continents away. The more I spend time on this earth, the more I have come to realise that every soul is more or less the same…..and yet everybody at one point or another in ones life, feels so utterly alone…. There is no logic in feeling alone or separate from everybody else. Make that list and smile: celebrate you being unique and …at the same time : Celebrate being Human, like the rest of all of us.

When you start feeling alone or hit that tough depressed feeling: look at your list..look at you…look at the mirror image and ….see somebody smiling back at you: you are not alone.
